 Monday 2nd April 2025 

For my audition, i chose a monologue from ‘Jack and Jill Plays’ In my monologue, a wife is talking to a husband who is dying, and she is grieving him before he actually dies, i wanted to show that in a way, people can grieve someone before they are even dead, as i want to go for Ruth and Lindsey, i thought that this monologue worked well for Lindsey, because the whole Salmon family grieve Susie before they actually know she’s dead. I think that my audition went quite well, i did it once and because of the way i had rehearsed it, i was looking to the side, so Kelly redirected me to do it again, but to do it imagining the bed is in front of me, i tried, but because of muscle memory, i couldn't help but look slightly to the side still, i knew this was something i had to work on.  

Tuesday 3rd April 2025

Today we did Railway Children Auditions and recalls for both shows.

When i went in to do my audition again, but for Railway Children, it was infont of Tom too this time, i did the same monologue but i remembered the reedirection Kelly had given me and i did it better, i think i improved this time, Kelly even said to me that she was glad that i had listened to her redirection and managed to take it on.  

Then, we did recalls, i had a recall with Will for Ruth and Ray, for the scenes that we did, we did quite a bit of preparing, i was nervous for this because Ruth is such a big character and i wasn’t quite sure how to play her, but i think i did a good job and it was good working with Will becasue it made the audition easy, he is a very good person to work with.  


Monday 7th April 2025

Today, was my casts toured performance of DNA, we performed at Outwood Bishopsgarth, i met everyone at the school, when we got there, we noticed the things that would make thew show difficult, there was no lighting and there was only one door at the back of the stage, so even though we had to change our blocking of our entrances and exits, the show still ran smooth and went successfully.

Tuesday 8th April 2025

Today we filmed more of my film, for the Fringe, today we had the whole cast together to film, we used our dog today in filming so it was a challenge for continuity but we pulled through anyway and it was a productive day of filming, we got most of the scenes filmed that we need to before people had to go home.



Wednesday 9th April 2025

Today we watched a run through of Normalised as they would be performing it in Newcastle tomorrow, i really enjoyed it. At the end of they day, the cast list was announced and i was overjoyed to find out that i got the role of Franny, i think this will be a great challenge for me, and I am very excited.

Monday 28th April 2025

Today we started with a warm up led by Keiran and Ben. we played a game called flying sheep, this warm up helped to make sure we were all warmed up and energised, we then spent the morning doing a read through of The Lovely Bones, we read until Susie's Grandmother is introduced, and we stopped to discuss in between scenes.

Tuesday 29th April 2025

Today, we warmed up with a game of village becasue it was too warm to do anything too physical, we then split off into Railway children and Lovely Bones, we thought about our character's living spaces and how we would put them together on stage, obviouly as Franny, my 'home' is heaven which is going to be on a platform that is higher up, and me and Faith both thought that Franny would have a chair and maybe the other dead girls would have some too when in heaven. We then blocked the scenes from the start untilo when wveryone is looking for Susie.

Wednesday 30th April 2025

Today we improved the scene where everyone is searching for Susie, by sorting the blocking for her summoning the telephones, we had the people surrounding Susie walking with telephones and hiding them from the audience until our cue line when we all surround Susie and hold them around her, the people who don't have phones do the same with their torches and shine the torches as Susie.

 Pinocchio Evaluation  My aims for Pinocchio were to entertain the audience and creating a magical experience for the families, children and adults all of those who came to see the show . The impact that i wanted to have on the audience was that they felt like they had been submerged into a world of Disney , and that they were really as part of the world that we had created.
