 Character Development Questions  

Section 1: The Basic Facts 

• What is your character’s name? My character’s name is Trinh. But her full name is actually Trinhity.
• How does the character feel about his or her name? She really doesn’t like her name so she shortened it herself because she hates being called by her full name.  
• How did he or she get this name? Was it passed on from a family member, or did the parents read it on the side of a cereal box the day the child was born? She got her name because her parents are extremely religious and they chose to name her Trinhity because of ‘The Holy Trinity’, but they thought they would change the spelling a bit to be ‘different’ and she really hates it.  
• What connotations or stereotypes does the name have? The connotations of the name are the holy spirit and religion.  

Character Age/Birthday: 

• How old is your character? My character is 18 years old.  
• What year was he or she born? She was born on 3 September 2005.  
• What events were happening locally, nationally and globally the year your character was born? In 2005, a global event that happened was hurricane Katrina, The first ever video was uploaded on youtube, and astronomers discovered the dwarf planet Eris. Locally, the Warrior woman exhibition took place in June 2005, for international womans day.  
• How does your character like to celebrate his or her birthday? My character likes to spend the day with her friends, she always has a party and gets drunk, she doesn’t spend much time with her parents except from opening presents, because she doesn’t get along with them because they are Christian and she is far from it.  

Character’s Physical Traits: 

• What does your character look like? My character is quite short, but not the shortest of her friends, she has brown hair, she likes to get her nails done from time to time to treat herself, but she doesn’t care about getting her hair or eyelashes done all the time like her friends she is just happy using stick on eyelashes when she wants to feel a bit better about herself. 
• Is your character athletic or overweight? My character is not the skinniest of all her friends, but as a child she did ballet and horse riding so she was quite fit growing up, she now does acting in all her spare time and she does a lot of musical theatre so she is still quite fit.  
• Tall or short? She is 5’2” but she says she is at least 5’3”/5’4” because she doesn’t like being called short. 
• She has blue eyes 
• Her natural hair colour is white blonde, but she dies it brown/ dark blonde. 
• Any scars or birthmarks? She has a scar on her right hand from when she was younger playing with her cousin near a lake in Richmond and she fell over chasing her cousin Alex, she has a birthmark on the back of her leg which is a lot of freckles in one spot, she also has a red birthmark on the back of her neck. 
• What actress or actor would you have play the role of your character if it was a movie? I would have Keira Knightley play her if it was a movie.   

• What style of clothes does your character wear?  
• What clothes would he or she wear every day on a casual basis? She would wear cargos and crop tops or body suits, she likes to wear boots a lot and her favourite item in her wardrobe is her leather jacket. Sometimes when she is trying to fit in with her friends more she wears leggings and sports bras/ tops/ crop tops.  
• For a night out in town? A short dress and heels with a leather jacket, or a corset top with jeans or cargo bottoms, and a leather jacket.  
• To bed? She has a few different things she wears, sometimes she wears silk pyjamas, a full set or she wears an oversized shirt sometimes with sometimes without shorts, she hates pyjama bottoms with cuffs on the legs because she can’t sleep feeling like her legs are suffocated.  
• Does he or she wear any special jewellery or accessories? She wears a necklace that is half a heart that she got off of her childhood best friend who she left behind when she moved away.

  • Where does your character live? Is it an Apartment? House? In the backseat of his car? My character lives in a big house with her parents.   

  • How does your character feel about the current living arrangements? She doesnt like it she loves her parents but she hates that they are religius and doesnt want to be a part of that. 

  • Does your character live with anyone else? Who are those people? She lives with her mam and dad. 

  • How does your character get along with his or her neighbours? She doesnt have any neighbours thier house id very secluded and away from everyone else. 

   • What is the view outside of your character's window? She can see fields and animals, but at a certain point it turns into the city. And she can see all the buildings too. 

  • What items do they keep next to their bed? She keeps a candle and some mugs with jewellery in, she also keeps deoderant body spray and her keys on her bedside table. 

  • What is your character's most valuable possession? Her most valuable possession is her teddy she got when her Nanna died when she was 8.  

   

   Career/Job/Profession/Education:  

  • What does the character do for a living? She doesnt do anything, she lives off her parents money.  

  • Do they find this work enjoyable? - 

  • What is your character's dream job? She hopes to be a famous west end actress because she wants to show her family she can make it. 

  • What is your character's financial situation? Her family is rich and she is given a lot of money by them.

   • Does he or she have any siblings? No  

  • A spouse or other romantic partner or love interest? How about children? no 

  • How does your character feel about family functions and events? She hates them  

  Character's Friends:  

  • Who are your character's closest friends? Laura, both of us are closer and dont really get along eith the other girls we all just pretend to like each other. 

  • How did your character meet his or her best friend? School- y8 

  • What do they value most in friendship? Trust and loyalty 

  • Does your character make friends easily? No, becasue everyone sees her as a mean awful person.  

  Character's Relationships: 

   • What is your character's idea of a perfect romantic date? Restraunt with flowers. 

  • Has your character ever had his or her heart broken? Yes  

  • What qualities does your character look for in a romantic partner? Kind funny sweet loyal  

  Character's Pets:  

  • Does your character have any pets? What type? Yes, one cat called felix 

  • What are your characters favourite animals? Red pandas

  • What are his or her favourite foods to eat? Chicken nuggets and chips with mayonaise 

   • Does he or she enjoy to cook? Yes, but she doesnt do it very often 

  • Any food allergies or sensitivities? Bread gives her indigestion 

  • What foods can he or she not stand to be around or eat? Mushrooms and tomatoes

  • How does your character spend a lazy Sunday afternoon? Watching tv or playing on her xbox 

  • What are their favourite places to go when alone? With friends? Alone- a walk at night, friends- shopping

  • What is your character's favourite quote and why? “Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light” she thinks it sums up life

   • Describe your character's personality with three words. For each of these words, why would you choose these words a way to describe your character? Mean but kind she is one of the mean girls but she tries to be nicer to everyone because she hates being mean. 

   • How does your character act socially? She is very outgoing and talks to a lot of people
